Project Nursery

I can't tell you what a hard time i had in picking out the nursey theme/decor. My husband is pretty much ok with anything, his only request was that we have pigs somewhere in the room (he loves everything pink and round - hence - little piglets) :). we originally had the idea of making the room look like a pig pen with fencing around the walls... As cute as it sounded, i decided that i wanted a more refined look to the room with a section dedicated to our little collection of round stuffed pigs.

As soon as we found out we were having a little boy, i knew i wanted a baby blue theme. As generic as it sounds, you can't help but think of "sweet little baby boy" when you see a baby blue color.

After a lot of going back and forth on the theme and color scheme we wanted, this is what called out my name, or should i say baby's name, when i shopped around online.

Its called Elise by Bananafish. Wil loved it. I gave him other options but this is the one he chose as well. My sister Gail called this the Charlotte room - she thought this is the type of bedding Charlotte from Sex and the City would've chosen. (Not sure if that's a bad thing or a good thing!) I registered for the crib set, the valance, and the mobile. The only difference is Wil and I chose espresso brown for the furniture. can't wait to see it altogether. i think it will look so nice.

What's even more exciting is that we got our crib bedding already!!! Our good friends Erin and Cece (their beautiful daughter Seraphina is our goddaughter) got this for us off our registry. It was the first present we got and when it arrived at our front door, we were so excited. Everything was becoming more and more real!

My absolute dream is to have a chandelier in the baby room, but, if i can't even have a nice chandelier in my dining room, i'm not sure why i would think i would have one in baby's room. here's an idea of what it would look like. We'll see :)
